Ray lost her husband in the flooding caused by the breach in the levee and Hurricane Katrina. Friends and family gathered at the site of the breach to begin the Great Flood Commemorative March honoring all those who were effected by the hurricane. The march began in the Lower 9th Ward and went through the city, ending at Congo Square near downtown.
